Documentation for end users

Your code becomes a help center that updates itself.

Docraft reads the code in your GitHub repository and uses AI to write step-by-step documentation for the people who use your system, with annotated screenshots of every screen. On every merge into the main branch, only the affected pages are updated.

Visual step by step

Every step shows the right screen, highlighting where to click

Docraft doesn't just describe the path: every step comes with a screenshot of your application, annotated with numbers and highlights, so users know exactly what to do.

  • Numbered steps, in the order users follow them
  • Screenshots of your application's screens
  • Annotations that point to buttons, fields and menus
  • Images updated along with the text on every merge

How it works

Three steps and your documentation keeps up with your code

  1. 1

    Connect GitHub

Sign in with GitHub, install the Docraft app and choose the repositories you want to document.

  2. 2

    Review the configuration

Activate the repository: Docraft suggests the name, language and colors from the code. Nothing to add to the repository.

  3. 3

    Merge and you're done

On every merge into the main branch, Docraft reads what changed and updates the text and screenshots of your documentation.

Features

Made for the people who use the system, not the ones who code it

Step by step with screenshots

Plain language, numbered steps and your application's screen annotated at every step.

Only what changed

Each merge updates only the affected pages, without rewriting everything from scratch.

Review when you want

Publish right away or approve each update before it goes live.

Public or private

Open the documentation to everyone or invite readers by email.

Your own address

Each project gets its own subdomain, hosted and served by Docraft.

No secrets in the repository

The Action identifies itself with GitHub OIDC, and the code is read by the GitHub App.

Configuration

Set up right in Docraft

A form pre-filled from the code, with no file to maintain in the repository. Docraft takes care of the AI instructions.

  • Project name, language and who can read
  • Your brand colors in the documentation and screenshots
  • User roles, with who does each task
  • Test environment for screenshots, with encrypted passwords
